Our approach
Factual claims in our journalism should be supported by appropriate sources, such as official program materials, government data, and published research. Writers and editors review claims according to the nature and sensitivity of the content.
What this means
More consequential or contested claims receive closer scrutiny. We aim to link or attribute to primary sources so readers can verify key figures and rules themselves.
What we do not claim
We do not represent that every article passes through a separate, dedicated fact-checking department, or that outside experts independently review every piece. Where verification is limited or a claim is developing, we say so.
